Just an acknowledgment for cashier Betsy who despite having had a very bad, terrible day, was wonderful checking my groceries out. She even provided a much needed towel for a cut that opened up while I was there. Hope this review cheers her up. Give her a raise! ;)
Service is great, I'm not thrilled with the layout of the store, it's confusing. Produce is fresh
All the wonderful people working at this store have my heartfelt gratitude for keeping us all fed and supplied in this Pandemic. Shop Rite employees don't have the option to work from home. They are risking their health for all the rest of us. I had to stop myself from crying in the middle of the frozen foods section when I thought about this. I generally say "thank you for your service" to military personnel when I see them, and today I was saying that same phrase to the staff at ShopRite. This store has implemented lot of great safeguards in response to the Pandemic, such as having only one door open for entry to regulate the number of people in the store, marking squares with tape on the floor 6 feet apart, having signs both outside and inside the store reminding to social distance, and having sanitary wipe dispensing stands at many locations around the store. I also saw staff throughout the store wiping down shelves and displays. Plexiglass shields have been put up at check out. The security guard guided people to check out aisles one at a time, and politely reprimanded line-cutters. He thanked me for my patience and I thanked him for enforcing social distancing. I am also very grateful that today this store had everything I wanted: Tylenol, paper towels, toilet paper, bleach, yeast, flour, peanut butter, lemons, and taco shells. I feel lucky to have this excellent supermarket available to shop at!
